Beautiful story! Are you aware that you posted your story just eight hours before the traditional Day of the Dead (Obon) in Japan?Intrestingly enough, on the way back from a trip to Colombia I read a novel- Under the Volcano- which takes place on the Mexican day of the Dead in 1938. Of course, the traditional idea of the communion of the saints is not very well understood in America, but I loved your story!
